Preservar la integridad y la imagen de la Casa Patrimonial, mientras a esta se adosa un edificio de escala y programa totalmente diferentes, coordinar un programa arquitectónico variado que debe ser capaz de responder al funcionamiento público y privado de la nueva sede y establecer una relación directa, amable y funcional entre el nuevo edificio y la Casa Patrimonial son los fundamentos guía para abarcar este Proyecto. Para ello se aplicaron los siguientes conceptos:

Valoración Patrimonial. La intervención del entorno urbano y la construcción de la nueva sede para Uniandinos ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de exhibir la Casa como parte del Patrimonio cultural de la Capital. Para esto, una de las propuestas de intervención del proyecto es poner al servicio (en el futuro) las instalaciones de la Casa Patrimonial dándole uso cultural y/o educativo trasladando las funciones administrativas al nuevo Edificio y así consolidar el valor histórico del inmueble permitiéndole ser parte del programa cultural de la sede de Uniandinos. Por otra parte, uno de los atractivos de la Casa radica en su relación con el entorno, una relación de carácter peatonal que permite su apreciación desde cualquier punto. Bajo esta premisa, el proyecto plantea la unión del nuevo edificio con la Casa Patrimonial a través de espacios abiertos (La Galerita de Arte y la Sala de Exposiciones temporales). Esta unión, generada por un “vacío”, permite apreciar la Casa en sus cuatro fachadas incluso desde el exterior del Proyecto.

Asset Valuation. The intervention of the urban environment and the construction of the new headquarters for Uniandinos highlight the need to exhibit the House as part of the Cultural Heritage of the Capital. For this, one of the intervention proposals of the project is to put the facilities of the Heritage House at the service (in the future) giving it cultural and / or educational use, transferring the administrative functions to the new Building and thus consolidating the historical value of the property allowing it to be part of the cultural program of the Uniandinos headquarters. On the other hand, one of the attractions of the House lies in its relationship with the environment, a relationship of a pedestrian nature that allows it to be appreciated from any point. Under this premise, the project proposes the union of the new building with the Patrimonial House through open spaces (La Galerita de Arte and the Temporary Exhibition Room). This union, generated by a “void”, allows us to appreciate the House in its four facades even from outside the Project.
